Monitoring the Implementation of the CEPA Agreement

The Foundation has developed targeted recommendations in all of the above areas, the adoption of which should lead to the establishment of practical guarantees of freedom of information, reform of the criminal and criminal procedure codes, and improvement of electoral administration.

The fact-finding mission on Human Rights Violations during the 44-day war in Artsakh

The purpose of the project "Documentation and Analysis of Targeted Attacks on civilians and civilian settlements in Artsakh, the Violations of International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law" was to conduct a fact-finding mission in order to reveal, analyze the violations pertaining to the targeted attacks on civilian settlements and civilians in Artsakh, International Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law to document and analyze violations of legal norms, and to report on them. 

The project has been implemented with the support of “Open Society Foundations-Armenia”.

 

Promoting Freedom of Information in the Republic of Armenia

The main objective of the project was to study and reveal the legislative and practical issues concerning the situation with the freedom of information and recommend comprehensive solutions. Alongside the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On the Freedom of Information”, the experts of the project examined ancillary sectors and legal acts, where access to information is of axial significance. In particular, this refers to the realms of state and official secrets, operational intelligence activity, archives, criminal litigation, personal data protection, procurement and public service.

Human Rights Violation during the 44 day-war in Artsakh

This fact-finding report documents the war crimes and other violations of international humanitarian law (IHL) and human rights norms that occurred during, and consequential to the 44-day war waged by Azerbaijan, principally against the population of Artsakh (a.k.a. Nagorno-Karabakh), during the fall of 2020. The evidence presented here is based on meticulous data collection and analysis based on multiple sources of information. The result is substantiated documentation of war crimes and human rights violations, as well as a set of recommendations to relevant stakeholders for remedying the situation.

The Promotion of Labor Rights in the Republic of Armenia

The project “The Promotion of Labor Rights in the Republic of Armenia” was implemented by the Law Development and Protection Foundation in 2021.  A number of issues of the labor legislation have been studied, respectively the problems have been identified and recommendations have been made. A particular importance has been assigned to the problems related to the exercise of labor rights, as well as judicial practice.
